Church Wedding Music
For your church ceremony, we can provide a full range of Irish traditional instruments, with female and male vocalists, everything from solo harp to a larger ensemble including harp, uilleann pipes, fiddle, flute, and whistle.
We can also provide an organist or pianist. Instruments and vocalists can be arranged into a variety of solo and ensemble combinations and a particular feature of our wedding packages is that many of our musicians are multi-instrumentalists - this means that if you book three players, for example, you will probably enjoy the sounds of more than three instruments!
Some of our most-requested instrument/voice combinations:
Harp, flute, fiddle
Planxy Power, By Turlough O Carolan
Harp, flute, fiddle & female vocalist
Mo Ghrá Thú
If your package includes flute, we can usually combine the uilleann pipes, tin whistle and low whistle at no extra charge:
Harp, fiddle & uilleann pipes
Kean O'Hara, By Turlough O Carolan
Harp, whistle & fiddle
Pachelbel's Canon
Choosing the Music for your Church Ceremony
Choosing the music to be performed at your wedding ceremony is very important, and we are always happy to offer advice on this, and to work with your own ideas to create your perfect wedding music programme. You are welcome to meet with us as often as you wish, at no extra cost, as you finalise your programme. Our preferred repertoire for a church ceremony includes a combination of liturgical and Irish traditional hymns and instrumental airs - in our experience, celebrants are not usually comfortable with the inclusion of non-liturgical vocal items but are happy to allow Irish traditional airs as instrumentals. We can perform all the favourite hymns which are normally heard at wedding ceremonies, as vocal or instrumental items, and we can also perform an extensive range of instrumental Irish traditional music. Our repertoire also includes some light classical items. You are welcome to view our Wedding Mass Sample Repertoire List or our Wedding Service Sample Repertoire List.

An essential part of the booking process is to meet with Patrick Davey to discuss your wedding music requirements. You can arrange as many meetings as you wish, at no extra cost, and you can also request to meet with your wedding musicians in advance to hear them perform.
Civil Ceremony Wedding Music
For your civil ceremony, we can provide all the same instruments and voices as for a church ceremony, although we always find that a smaller group of musicians is more appropriate for the often more intimate setting of a civi ceremony.
Our favourite combinations for a civil ceremony are solo harp, harp & flute, or harp, flute & vocalist:
Harp & flute
She Moved Through the Fair
Harp & uilleann pipes
Braveheart Theme
Harp, flute, & female vocalist
She Moved Through the Fair
Choosing the Music for your Civil Ceremony
For a civil ceremony, the repertoire is normally chosen from non-liturgical pieces, such as traditional Irish, light classical and popular items. You are welcome to view our Civil Ceremony Sample Repertoire List.
